    Job Description

    Save the Children is inviting applications from suitably qualified personnel to fill the position of Temporary Programme Facilitator (2 positions) under SCREP Programme and will be based in Mwanza. The position holder will provide leadership in district-level planning, coordination and monitoring implementation of the SCREP programme activities. He/she will lead in the planning of SCREP programme activities with partners and will support all SCREP programme capacity building interventions to strengthen the capacity of community members, Teachers and other stakeholders at district level to implement evidence based strategies, addressing SCREP programme areas of focus. The position holder is expected to have strong skills in Literacy and Numeracy, Child Protection, Inclusive Education, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights, Child Rights, advocacy, community mobilization, and adult training facilitation

    In order to be successful you will bring/have:

    • BSc in Public Health, Nursing, Midwifery
    • Minimum of 3 years’ work experience in NGOs
    • Experience in any of the following: Inclusive Education, Literacy and Numeracy, Inclusive Education, Child Protection and Child Rights is an added advantage.
    • Experience in project management.
    • Demonstrated experience of working with complex teams in different geographic locations
    • Demonstrated experience of working in fast-moving and fluid professional environments with multiple competing deadlines and tasks
    • Excellent communication skills in Chichewa and English, both oral and written
    • Computer literacy in Microsoft software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Express.
    • Capacity to train, coach and mentor project staff as well as partners.
