    LOCATION:             Various Districts

    DEADLINE:              Friday18th September, 2020 by 12:00 noon.

    PSI Malawi seeks highly qualified candidates for the position of Temporary Data Entry Clerk to be located in various districts where reproductive health projects are implemented. The Data Entry Clerks’ services will be required from 1st October, 2020 to 31st December, 2020. He/she will perform the following duties:

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Enter program data in a timely and efficient way, adhering to established deadlines
    • Ensure completeness of data before, during and after entering it through:
      • Frequent communication and liaison with the outreach team leader and the other data collectors
      • Double checking on submitted data against other source documents and registers
      • Communicating timely to the team leader or MERL coordinator on data gaps
      • Processes source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to responsible officer for resolution
    • Maintain data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
    • Verify entered data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data purging files to eliminate duplication of data in consultation with the MERL Manager and Program managers
    • Test system changes and upgrades where necessary by inputting new data; reviewing output
    • Secures information by completing weekly database backups
    • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures and reporting requirements
    • Generates standardized reports for relevant program managers and senior leadership team members on a monthly/quarterly basis as appropriate
    • Ensure proper storage of all source documents
    • Ensure no data backlogs
    • Timely provide data and documents whenever requested
    • Report on any red flags in data from collection point to reporting through the relevant channels
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Certificate (preferable in Information Technology) and at least 2 years work experience in a related field
    • Ability to enter at least 100 data sheets per day
