In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- Degree level qualification in Business administration, Agriculture Enterprise development, youth development, development studies and other relevant field from an accredited learning institution.
- At least 3 years of experience in Economic development, Enterprise development, gender and youth livelihoods and particularly in programming for economic empowerment for vulnerable girls.
- Post graduate level qualification will have added advantage.
- Strong understanding of youth’s employment, small and micro enterprise, education and vocational skills training in a rural setting.
- Track record of supporting youth into work and/or education or achieving other successful outcomes for youth 10-24 years.
- Experience in delivery of gender programmes
- Performance and quality management of children/youth programmes.
- Experience in working with vulnerable girls in economic empowerment
- Experience of delivering training to community based staff
- Result-oriented, able to set priorities and meet deadlines within a dynamic environment
- Mature and able to function well within flat management structures with extensive consultation and horizontal collaboration
- Strong leadership skills including ability to influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to forge excellent relationships with Adolescent youth.
- A good understanding of best practice techniques for achieving and sustaining youth’s positive engagement.
- Ability to work as part of field team and successfully join up work with partner staff
- A good written and spoken English level
