Job Description

Save the Children is inviting applications from suitably qualified person to fill the position of Program Integration Officer (11 Positions) for Titukulane Programme based in Zomba.

The Program Integration Officer shall be responsible for all net-working initiatives internally in an attempt to maximise project impact onto the beneficiaries.

He/she shall be responsible for an overall supervision of the Field Facilitators across the thematic areas making sure Project Facilitators from different thematic areas at community level do highly collaborate for a maximum impact.

S/he will also be responsible for the conduction of sensitization meetings, community mobilization and delivering technical support and oversight to Community Mobilizers and partners to build their capacities.

The incumbent shall be responsible for facilitating planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all integration activities with this the demarcated area of impact.

He/she shall work in collaboration with government partners to reach out to the targeted beneficiaries and will take full responsibility of coordinating and make all logistics to ensure successful implementation of all activities.

He/she will be responsible for timely report compilation and submission on all integration activities and lessons learnt and challenges that need attention of supervisors.

He/she shall be responsible for developing monthly detailed program activity implementation plans including expenditure projections and other appropriate requirements in the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal job description and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

  • Minimum of a Degree in Community Development, Gender, Social Science, Rural Development, or Sociology. Those with additional tertiary academic and professional training in the relevant subject will have an added advantage.
  • Excellent Team Player
  • Good communication skills and team work
  • Must be well organized and capable of completing multiple tasks before a deadline.
  • Willing to intensively travel in rural areas.
  • 3 years’ extensive experience in extension activities, community mobilization
  • Self-starter and creative.
  • Community mobilization and sensitization skills
  • Ability to deliver an effective training to community volunteers
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders in the program
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Sound report writing skills
  • Valid motorcycle driving license
