  • Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery or Diploma in Nursing plus a university certificate in Midwifery from a reputable and accredited institution of higher learning
  • Must be registered with Nurses and Midwives council of Malawi
  • Must be trained and with a certificate in ART, Family planning, STI using Sydromic approach and psychosocial counseling
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a busy hospital  or heath centre

  • Willingness to work during weekends and night hours
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing nursing care to patients and clients
  • Administering treatment to patients and clients
  • Presenting health talks and tips to patients and clients
  • Providing holistic midwifery services to clients
  • Adhering to precaution standards of infection prevention
  • Caring for medical equipment and supplies
  • Writing reports
  • Monitoring indicators using HMIS tools and guidelines
  • Maintaining medical ethics in totality
  • Any other reasonable duties assigned by management
