Mzuzu University Is Malawi’s Second Public University established under the Mzuzu University Act No. 12 of 1997. The mandate of the University is to provide high quality education, training, research, outreach and complementary services to meet the technological, social and economic needs of Individuals and communities in Malawi and the World.
The University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following teaching position:
DEPARTMENT OF GOVERNANCE, PEACE AND SECURITY STUDIES
Professor / Associate Professor / Senior Lecturer / Lecturer in Security Studies
Candidates must have a PhD or Master’s Degree plus Bachelor’s Degree with at least a second upper class or credit pass in Defence and Security Studies Peace and Conflict Studies, or any security-related held obtained from a reputable and accredited institution of higher learning. Candidates should also have a solid background and research track record in at least three ct the following areas: Civil- Military Relations, National and Regional Security Architectures, Security Sector Reforms and Governance, Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, Intelligence, Counter – terrorism, and Conflict Prevention 1 Resolution / Transformation.
For the above position, candidates should address’their ability to meet the following requirements:
