Mary’s Meals is a global movement supported by people from all walks of life and we are focused on one goal that every child receives a nutritious daily meal in a place of education. We continue to change the lives of over 1.6 million children who today will receive a Mary’s Meals. Mary’s Meals Malawi is our largest school feeding programme and reaches over 30% of the primary school aged children, in Malawi, and we work closely with schools and community volunteers who help prepare and serve the nutritious meals every school day. Mary’s Meals Malawi is looking to recruit energetic and motivated individuals for the following positions:

Human Resources Officer


Job Purpose

Reporting to the HR Advisor (Operations), the HR Officer will be responsible for Mary’s Meals Malawi’s human resource (HR) functions, which includes; recruitment; staffing; leave management, attendance, management of pension and group life assurance schemes, group personal accident insurance and medical issues.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • An Advanced Diploma in Human Resources.
  • Organise and coordinate inductions for new recruits.
  • Proven experience as HR officer or other HR position.
  • Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.).
  • General knowledge of employment laws and best practices.
  • Excellent computer skills, knowledge of HRIS, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Great people-person skills and professional attitude.
  • Strong ethics and reliability.
