Horizon Health Limited, one of the leading health insurance providers in Malawi, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Accountant in its Finance and Administration Department tenable at the company’s Head Office in Blantyre.
JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration, the incumbent will be responsible for preparing Financial and Management accounts, Budgeting and Budgetary Controls, Tax Management and Reconciliations among other things. The successful candidate will also produce reports in an accurate and timely manner. He/ She will also pray a vital role in contributing towards the company’s mission to be a leading healthcare insurance provider in Malawi.
KEY RESULT AREAS
The roles, responsibilities will be to:
· Preparation of sound Financial Management policies and Management Accounts.
· Tax Management and ensuring compliance with all other provisions of taxation acts.
· Ensure customer invoices are sent timely and reconciled.
· Account reconciliations.
· Review of Payment Vouchers
KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive professional experience as an accountant in an environment that requires quick, Innovative thinking and decision making.
Thorough working knowledge of the insurance health systems, monitoring and its related procedures for analyzing client behaviors.
