Job Description

The Ministry of Health and Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in collaboration with Local Government Service Commission wishes to inform the public that in compliance to the Presidential directive to recruit two thousand (2000) heath workers in response to the global COVID “9 pandemic and Global Fund Grant a total of 1767 different cadres of health care workers have so for been recruited. This represents a total of 88% of heath workers,

The public is further informed that as part of the continuation of the recruitment process the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in collaboration with Local Government Service Commission will conduct interviews for the under listed cadres.

NOPOST AND GRADEREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1Senior Rehabilitation Assistant (L)Serving Rehabilitation Assistant (Grade M) with at feast four (4) years’ experience at that Grade
2Senor Ward Clerk (L)Serving Ward Clerk Grade (M) with at least 4 (four) years’ experience at that Grade
3Disease Control and Surveillance Assistant (M)Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with a pass in any two science subjects i.e. Biology, Agriculture, Physical Science or mathematics.
4Ward Clerk (M)Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) with a pass in mathematics.
5Rehabilitation Assistant (M)Certificate in a relevant Medical Rehabilitation from Kachere Rehabilitation College or Kilimanjaro College of Medical College
6Laundry Assistant (M)Serving Head Hospital Attendant (Grade N) with Four (4) years’ experience at that Grade.
7Orthopedic Assistant (M)Certificate in a relevant Medical Rehabilitation from Kachere Rehabilitation College or Kilimanjaro College of Medical College
8Catering Assistant (M)Serving Head Hospital Attendant (Grade N) with Four (4) years’ experience at that Grade.
9Hospital Attendants (P)Junior Certificate of Education (JCE). Those with a Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) will have an added advantage

Interviews will be conducted in all Health Zones on 4th June, 2020 as follows:

Candidates in possessor of relevant qualifications for the above listed posts are invited to
attend the interviews at their respective Health Zones. They will be required to bring the original
academic and professional certificates and National identification Cards.

Those who were already recruited by Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) need not to come for these interviews.
