Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Malawians, Civil Servants or non-civil servants as the case may be depending on the requirements of the post, for the vacancies listed below existing in the Civil Service

Post : Youth Officer (Grade I)
Salary: Within the Grade I salary scale segment

Applicants should be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields obtained from accredited institutions: Youth Development, Agriculture and Natural Resources or Community

Develop, implement monitor and follow up youth development programmes in line with the department statement of purpose and current Youth policy; prepare and develop district project proposals for funding by cooperating partners; develop and put in place mechanisms for the identifying youth development needs; coordinate Youth programs with non- state sectors (NGOs), Government Ministries and cooperating partners at district area level, etc.

Documentary evidence of major requirements specified in the advertisement shall be needed during interviews. Serving officers will also be required to demonstrate during the interviews that they are permanent and pensionable officers in the Civil Service by producing letters of confirmation in appointment in addition to letters of appointment (PSR 19).
