    Job Description

    There Is Hope (TIH) is a Christian Malawian NGO that has been offers people living in and around Dzaleka Refugee Camp opportunities for education, business, and leadership development.

    Since 2015, TIH has been running a vocational training programme which now offers courses in Bricklaying, Carpentry and Joinery, Plumbing, Welding & Fabrication and Tailoring & Fashion Design.

    TIH invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Vocational Training Coordinator tenable at its office at Dzaleka, Dowa:

    Position: Vocational Training Coordinator

    Core Responsibilities

    • Supervision of There is Hope vocational training classes.
    • Recruiting and monitoring vocational training students.
    • Conduct entrepreneurship training to vocational education training students.
    • Act as a liaison between TIH and Technical, Entrepreneurial, And Vocational Education and Training Authority (TEVETA).

    Other Responsibilities

    • Collect, submit and maintain accurate data and reports on the vocational training programme.
    • Network and collaborate with partners, and arrange for apprenticeship for vocational training students.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Interested applicants must possess MSCE plus the highest qualifications in vocational training either Grade 1 Trade Test or TEVET Level 3 certificate or any other relevant qualifications.
    • Those with a Diploma in Construction will have an added advantage.
    • This is a leadership role as such the candidate must be mature and have previous experience in coordinating vocational training at a busy institution.
