    The Hunger Project Malawi (THP-Malawi), is a branch of the Global Hunger Project, a non-profit, strategic organization committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. Our vision is a world where every woman, man and child leads a healthy, fulfilling life of self-reliance and dignity. Our mission is to end hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centered strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in countries throughout the world.

    THP-Malawi has been operating in Malawi since 1999 and is currently running programs and projects in nine districts namely; Blantyre, Chikhwawa, Dedza, Neno, Nsanje, Ntcheu, Phalombe, Salima and Zomba The Hunger Project has a grant with Dioraphte Foundation whose aim is to contribute to THP-Malawi’s work in ending hunger and poverty in the communities around Wild Reserve Majete and supporting them towards self-reliance.


    Position: Project Manager

    THP-Malawi wishes to recruit an experienced and qualified person for the position of Project Manager- For the Dioraphte Majete. The position is tenable at our Chikwawa office.


    Key Accountabilities:

    Reporting to the Head of Programs (HOP), the position is responsible for but not limited to:

    • Providing technical leadership and direction for successful implementation of project activities in epicenters around Majete Game reserve.
    • Supervision of Epicenter project officers (EPOs) to ensure protect activities are effectively and efficiently implemented.
    • Leading in production and timely submission of high quality Investor and management quarterly and annual reports.
    • Working with key stakeholders such as African Parks Majete, key Government departments at district council to ensure effective implementation of project activities.
    • Representing THPMw at various district stakeholder meetings including District Executive Committee and other district subcommittee meetings as requested.
    • Building staff capacity in project implementation, documentation and project monitoring.
    • Supporting monitoring, evaluation and learning from program implementation activities.
    • Ensuring that all agreed project targets are being met timely.
