    Job Description

    Cricket Malawi, an affiliate of Malawi Sport (MNCS), the African Cricket Association (ACA) and an Associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), is the governing body of cricket in Malawi. We strive to compete and excel in regional and international competitions while remaining dedicated to inspiring a love for the sport and popularizing it in Malawi.

    To support our mission, we are looking to hire a National Men’s Coach & High-Performance Manager who will be:

    1. Responsible for coaching the Malawi Senior Men’s National and Male U19s team on a full- time basis with specific emphasis for preparing teams for tours and tournaments
    2. Prepare, implement and monitor high performance coaching programs for all of National Men’s and Women’s, Regional and age group talent squads
    3. Mentoring duties in improving the coaching output of local coaches and handpicking and preparing coaches for representative squad coaching roles
    4. Design and implement coaching programs for Cricket Malawi’s talent development wing, The Cricket Academy


    Key Delivery Areas:

    Senior Men’s and Male U19s Coach

    • Develop and maintain a competitive National Senior Men’s Team and Male U19’s Team
    • Create and nurture a positive team ethos for the Senior Men’s and Male U19s Team
    • Design and conduct regular national training camps for Senior Men’s and Male U19s Teams

    High Performance Manager for Male & Female Programs

    • Improve talent development structures domestically for all representative teams via HP programs
    • Develop talent identification structures to channel talent into representative cricket
    • Develop and implement individual and team training programs for representative
    • Design and implement HP training programs for The Cricket Academy

    • Demonstrate strong planning and organization skills
    • Good conflict management skills
    • Able to adapt to coaching across various cultures
    • Competent written and oral skills
    • Able to decision make and work with initiative


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum of a CSA/ECB/CA Level 3 or equivalent
    • Minimum of 3 years of cricket coaching age group /senior provincial or national teams
    • Be up to date with latest coaching techniques and methods Remuneration

    Job-related remuneration commensurate with qualification and experience for this position will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
