Job Description

Beit CURE International Hospital (BCIH) is a Christian mission hospital providing free orthopedic health care for children in Beit CURE International Hospital Malawi is a teaching hospital that specializes in treating the orthopedic needs of children and adults. The hospital runs as a Christian charity and margins made on adult health care help in providing free care to the needy children of Malawi. The adult orthopedic service covers mostly the common orthopedic conditions such as arthroscopy, total hip & knee replacement and fracture fixation. The BCIH champions the cause of children and families burdened with physically disabling conditions that can be corrected or alleviated through surgical interventions.

The integral mission for BCIH is -Healing the sick and proclaiming the Kingdom of God` The BCIH in Malawi, situated along Chipatala Avenue-off Cannery Corner in Blantyre, is planning to resume some of its operations and services that it had suspended is seeking the services of well qualified and competent individuals to fill the following vacant

Position ICT OFFICER (REF: BCIH/21/01)

Reporting to Facility Manager, the job holder will be in charge of the formulation and implementation a vibrant Information Communication and Technology strategy geared towards the achievement of an effective and efficient ICT function of the hospital. in this regard, the ICT Officer will be expected to provide technical support in ICT services to enable the provision of timely, reliable, accurate and efficient information services to both staff patients and clients.


  •  Bachelors Degree in Information Communication and Technology/ Computer Science and
  •  At least 5 years work experience in ICT at a busy wore environment .


  •  Excellent ICT knowledge in database administration and technical architecture design.
  •  Excellent ICT knowledge in systems integration and network administration inducing health informatics
  •  Proficiency in windows OS and Linux OS.
  •  Business awareness and understanding of business requirements of IT in a hospital setting,
  •  Excellent interpersonal, organizational and public relations skills; and,
  •  Computer programming problem-solving and good analytical skills
