There is Hope (TIH) is a Christian, non-denominational, non-profit making NGO that provides access to education and income generating activities to refugees at Dzaleka Refugee Camp and Malawians in surrounding communities. TIH is looking for a mature, passionate and qualified candidate to fill the position of Human Resources Officer based at our office in Lilongwe.

Position: Human Resources Officer

Roles and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage and oversee the Human Resources Department including ensuring good recruitment, retention and training of staff; managing personnel issues including discipline matters and providing clear, ethical advice to the Senior Management Team (SMT) and managers on staffing and administrative issues.

Requirements

• The minimum qualification for the suitable candidate is a Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Development or other relevant fields.
• He/she must also have at least 3 years’ experience at Senior Management level as manager of a Human Resources department and at least 5 years NGO experience in the Human Resources Department.
