The Malawi Accountants Board (MAB) is the regulatory body for the accountancy profession in Malawi established by the Public Accountant and Auditors Act No.5 of 2013, Cap 53.06 of the Laws of Malawi. It is mandated to provide direct oversight over professional accountancy bodies and auditors to, among others; Promote high quality reporting of financial and non-financial information by entities; Promote the highest professional standards among auditors and accountants; Improve the integrity, competence and transparency professional activities in accounting and auditing; Adopt and ensure compliance with and the enforcement of applicable local and international accounting and auditing standards; Protect the financial interest of the general public and investors.
MAB would like to recruit an Assistant Technical Services Officer in the Technical Department.
DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB
Reporting to the Chief Technical Services Officer, the Assistant Technical Services Officer shall be part of the team that implements the regulation and compliance function of MAB.
