    Job Description

    Banja La Mtsogolo (BLM) is a Malawian Non-Governmental Healthcare Organization established in 1987. BLM provides quality Family Planning and Reproductive Healthcare including HIV/AIDS information and interventions. BLM is a senior member of the Marie Stopes International (MSI) Partnership which
    works in 43 countries. BLM exists to improve quality of life in Malawi through family planning and reproductive health care services. BLM serves over 800,000 clients annually and makes a significant contribution to national family planning objectives. The organization has national coverage, operating through 25 clinics, and numerous outreach clinic sites.

    Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position of Filing Assistant to be based at the Head Office in Lilongwe.

    Role Purpose
    ‘’Provide Support to review processes for donor funded project financial reporting through transaction documentation such as scanning, photocopying and referencing also ensuring all donor submissions have relevant compliance attachments which reconcile to the report transaction listing’’.

    Job Responsibilities

    •  Ensure monthly Project files are filed in sequential order.
    • Referencing monthly Listings to photocopied documents.
    • Photocopying documents and filing them orderly.
    •  Ensure all monthly Project Timesheets are submitted and reconciled.
    • Checking that all Project documents bare the exact Project codes.
    • Verifying that compliance documents are attached to all Project vouchers.
    • Any other duties as may be assigned

    Key Competencies and Qualifications

    • Minimum Diploma in any related field
    • Two years’ experience in office management duties
    • Microsoft Excel proficiency.
    • Basic understanding of documentation and Office IT equipment

    Skills and Experience

    • Competent keyboard skills.
    • Good communication Skills (Grammar and Spelling)
    • An ability to work individually and as part of a team.
    • The ability to concentrate for long periods of time and at odd hours.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Document filling skills.
    • Internet communication ability.

    Contract Start date
    The incumbent will be required to start performing their duties mid October 2020.

    Reporting Line
    The incumbent will be reporting to the Project Accountant
