Job Description

Products & Services Bureau Ltd (PSB) is a company incorporated first in Malawi, and to the rest of the world, with the primary objectives of deterring ‘corrupt and fraudulent practices’ and rendering a society of ‘equal opportunities for all’. Using sophisticated procedural software applications, all suppliers, contractors, and service providers within a country and on the globe, have equal access and exposure to customers. Customers and consumers, too, have one pool of categorized suppliers, contractors, and service providers to pick from.

PSB is inviting applications from suitably qualified personnel for the position of FINANCE ASSISTANTS (4 posts) tenable at our Head Office in Blantyre.


Job Brief

To support day-to-day transactions, including expenses and payroll.


Responsibilities

  • Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions.
  • Prepare balance sheets.
  • Track and reconcile bank statements.
  • Create cost analysis reports (fixed and variable costs).
  • Process tax payments.
  • Support monthly payroll and keep organized records.
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers, and partners as needed.
  • Provide administrative support during budget preparation.
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audits.


Requirements

  • Work experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, especially in creating spreadsheets and using financial functions.
  • Familiarity with accounting software.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail with an ability to spot numerical errors.
  • At least a Diploma in Finance, Accounting or Economics
