Job Description

International College of Business and Management (ICBM) was established in 2002, then, it was called IZF Business College, and the first course to be offered was under Public Accounts Examination Council (PAEC). In 2006, Baal Trust, which is a local, non-profit organization, took over from Islamic Zakaat Fund (IZF) and renamed it to International College of Business and Management (ICBM). The college enrolls big number of students under scholarship that it provides to the needy students. Since its inception, over 4,500 students have graduated in various programs and are now working with private and public institutions in Malawi and abroad.

To become a University for excellence, which will impart more knowledge in areas of all professionalism through excellent training, research and public engagement, with the aim of preparing graduates to perform exceptionally well in the corporate world.

To provide access to higher education opportunities, that enable students to develop knowledge and skills, necessary to achieve their professional goals, improve their productivity potential, encourage entrepreneurship, promote good values and leadership qualities through vocational and professional training.

International College of Business and Management (ICBM), in its quest to realize its vision, is inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant positions at its main campus in Blantyre.

College Registrar
The College Registrar will undertake the role of head of administration and finance. This shall be in addition to the critical role as demanded by the position of registrar of academics.

Among the other key responsibilities, the registrar has to:

  1. Provide leadership to Human Resources and Finance departments.
  2. Oversee the proper implementation of sound financial reporting, planning and budgeting.
  3. Oversee the proper implementation of human resources initiatives and systems at the college.
  4. Preparing academic calendars and managing students’ database.

A Master’s degree in relevant fields such as Business Management and Finance is highly recommended.

The position demands candidates who can demonstrate strong and excellent organizational and communication skills, being knowledgeable and conversant with administrative systems for an institute of higher learning, as well as possess strong ability to handle multiple tasks.
